Family Meeting Notes
At our last Family Meeting, we shared with the church our first group of lay elder (or “congregational pastor”) nominees. Below is a brief summary of what we shared at that meeting. We hope this information will help you as you prayerfully consider these nominees. And of course, if you have further questions, please let us know.

Winter Jam 2019
On February 22nd, Immanuel Students will be attending Winter Jam. Tickets are only $10 at the door, with doors opening at 6:00pm. Artists this year include the Newsboys, Danny Gokey, Mandisa, Rend Collective, and more! If you know a student (middle school and high school) who would like to attend or learn more, simply email Eddie Irwin at email@example.com.
If you believe God is leading you to join Immanuel Church in membership or are interested in learning more, we invite you to visit immanuelknox.org/membership for more information. We will also have packets available at church if you would like a hardcopy. If you have any questions, please contact us!
Do you have an old cellphone lying around? Rather than throwing it away, donate it! Amanda Haire, a member of Immanuel Church and a zookeeper at the Knoxville Zoo, is collecting old cellphones to help with the Knoxville Zoo’s efforts to conserve the natural habitats of wild gorillas. Coltan, a mineral found in cellphones, is often mined in these habitats, but by collecting old cellphones the mineral can be recycled and reduce the demand for new coltan. If you have an old cellphone that you would like to donate, you may drop it off in a donation box located in the atrium!
