Summer Series: Endure
“For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.” -Rom. 15:4
Join us this Sunday for our summer series, Endure, as we look to the stories of the Old Testament to encourage our hope and endurance in Christ. 10:30am @ the HVA auditorium.
Student Bible Study
This summer, Immanuel Students are holding a student ministry bible study. The study is Counter Culture by David Platt and includes a video-based study designed to challenge students to fix their eyes on the glory of God and to counter the culture in a way that points people to Jesus.
If you are a student, or you know a middle or high school student that is not currently in our Student Ministry program that would like to attend any or all of these sessions, please email Eddie Irwin at eddie@iknox.org. Each session is from 6-8 with a meal provided.
Speaking of meals, we are looking for a few families to “adopt” a date below to provide a side or dessert for the participants. The meal would be at the beginning of each session for approximately 25 people. If you would like to provide a side or dessert for one session or more please contact Eddie Irwin at eddie@iknox.org.
Dates:
June 23 – Tacos, Nachos
July 14 – BBQ, Baked Beans, Mac n’ Cheese
July 28 – Pizza
August 11 – Hotdogs, Chips
August 25 – Sandwiches, Chips
New Song Sunday
Last week at Immanuel we sang a new song: “The Way” by Pat Barrett. This song is written from several Scripture passages, but is centered on John 14:6, “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me’.” An encouraging reminder that only in Christ can we place our trust, our confidence, and our hope, we look forward to singing this truth again with you this Sunday!
Listen to the song and see the lyrics in the video below!
