Family Meeting (6.25)
Make plans to join us this Sunday evening at 5:00pm in the HVA auditorium for a Family Meeting.
We will be sharing an import update on the VV1 Project and presenting a proposal for moving forward in light of the significant price increase of the build.
Please join us at the meeting and in prayer for God’s wisdom and provision.
[Childcare (nursery thru preK) will be provided. Elementary students will have a movie night.]
Men’s Ministry Cookout (6.30)
Men, don’t miss the upcoming Men’s Min Cookout on Friday evening, June 30th at 6:00. We’ll meet at the Ropers (2891 Hickory Shoals Way) to grill burgers, to enjoy all kinds of games (cornhole, frisbee, pickleball, basketball, etc…), to have some laughs (dad-joke competition), and to learn about the vision for Immanuel Men’s Ministry. Be there! Bring a friend!
Adventures Bike Ride (7.8)
Adventures with Christ will meet on Saturday, July 8th at 10am in Maryville at the parking lot across from First United Methodist Church of Alcoa (617 Gilbert St). We will bike the greenway (approx. 3.5 miles) to Bicentennial Park where we will have a snack and fellowship time. Afterwards, we’ll pedal back to the church parking lot.
All you need is a bike, helmet, water, snack, sun screen, and a desire for fun and fellowship. If anyone needs assistance in transporting a bike, please let us know. Sign up here.
Living Waters Men’s Group
Did you know that there is a group of Christian brothers at Immanuel who meet regularly to encourage each other in the fight for purity? Living Waters is committed to helping men change (1 Cor. 6:18) and build strong walls of self-control (Prov. 25:28) by the Spirit (Gal. 5:6) through faith, prayer, study, and accountability. If such a group would be helpful to you, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact Scot Bellavia (scotbellavia@gmail.com) or Jared Raby (jared@iknox.org).
Community Spotlight: StarsWalk
CedarBrook Summer Stars is a day camp for elementary through high school students with disabilities. On Monday, June 26th at 9:00 these Summer Stars will have the chance to be affirmed and celebrated as athletes through the StarsWalk. At the StarsWalk these children will be accompanied by staff, parents, and sponsors during their short walk (around the parking lot at the West Park Fields of Grace). If you would like to support Summer Stars, the StarsWalk, and CedarBrook Outreach, you can donate here. You are also invited to the StarWalk and cheer on these Summer Stars.
