Join a Community Group
The Christian life is better with others. Just as your fitness goals are better achieved with the support of others, so your spiritual goals are better achieved with the support of other Christians. You were not meant to go it alone.
At Immanuel Church, Community Groups connect you with other believers for the purpose of encouragement and growth in your life and faith. These groups provide a smaller setting where you can go beyond chitchat and really get to know and be known by others. Groups typically gather weekly to pray, study the Bible, and support one another.
These groups meet in area homes and consist of 8-14 people. We encourage everyone at Immanuel to participate in a group.

Kayaking this Saturday!
Adventures with Christ will meet at The Cove Park (map) this Saturday, August 26th, 9am to noon, for a fun morning of kayaking and fellowship!
Things folks can bring: bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, kayak or canoe (if you have them), picnic lunch, dogs.

Join the Hospitality Team!
The Hospitality Team plays a vital role at Immanuel. They are the first faces visitors and guests see. They help make folks feel at home at Immanuel, and they display the gracious welcome of Christ.
Would you be willing to help with this work?
- What: Welcome guests. Greet visitors. Help with coffee and Connection Cards. Help make people feel at home at Immanuel.
- When: 10:15am-10:30am, 11:45am-11:50am.
- Frequency: Once a month.
Core Seminars underway…
Seminars started back August 20th, but it’s not too late to jump in! We have two great options:
Systematic Theology II: Jesus and Salvation
When: Sunday mornings at 9AM.
Teacher: Rob Gillen, Derek Griz, Jim Hight
What: Join us for some of the happiest, most hopeful and significant doctrines of the faith! In this seminar, we will be considering such topics as the work of Christ, Grace, Salvation, Justification, and Sanctification. We hope you will leave this seminar with deeper and stronger foundations in the great truths of our faith.
Beyond the Stories
When: Sunday mornings at 9AM.
Teacher: Becki Grindell
What: (Women’s Study). In this seminar, we will look at some of the amazing well-known stories in the historical books of the Bible like the crossing the Jordan River, the fall of Jericho, the day the sun stood still, Gideon and his 300 men, Samson and Delilah, Deborah, Boaz and many more.
Why did God include these stories in the Bible? How do they relate to the story of Jesus and the cross in the New Testament? Where do we see ourselves in these stories? Join us as we learn together and build community with other ladies.
Women’s Event: Walk with Me
Growing Together Women’s Bible Study
Ladies, come grow with us! Please join us for an 11-week study centered around the book “Growing Together.” We’ll focus on developing relationships that help us thrive in our daily walk with Jesus. We’ll explore spiritual mentoring and see how it offers a way for newer and more mature believers to grow together while discussing topics centered around God, His people, and the world.
When: Wednesday mornings, 10:30-noon, September 13 through November 29

Cost: Free

iKids Opportunities
Immanuel Kids would love to have you join our team! We currently need nursery snugglers, assistants and teachers in toddler, preschool and elementary classes at both the 9am and 10:30am hours. If you feel called to love, serve, and lead the next generation we would love to have you join our team! Just take a moment to fill out this survey or contact Sara at kids@iknox.org.
