iKids at 9:15AM
Parents,
Beginning this Sunday, September 9th, all 1st-5th graders are invited to come and join the iKids Crew!
Each Sunday during the 9:15am hour, we’ll spend time together singing songs, playing games, and learning more about God and His Word. We will be utilizing the Kids4Truth Clubs curriculum – you can learn more about it here: www.kids4truth.com. This curriculum helps teach kids what they believe and why they believe it, covering 12 doctrinal themes over a two year period.
One of the goals with this group is to give our elementary kids a place where they can have community, just as the adults and students do currently. We hope you will plan to have your kids join this exciting new group!
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Julie Gillen.
We are also looking for a few more leaders for this hour. If you’re interested in serving, contact Julie.

New Song Sunday
Title: Joy of the Lord
Artist: Rend Collective
Verses: Ps. 28:7, Neh. 8:1-12, Ps. 27:6, Ps. 33:1
This week at Immanuel we will be singing a new song, “Joy of the Lord” by Rend Collective. As the title suggests, the song centers on the joy we have in Christ despite circumstances and trials surrounding us. The song plays as a defiant declaration throughout, and encourages us to look to Christ as the ultimate source of strength when sorrows, darkness, shadows, and storms arise in our lives. ALS Walk
On Saturday, September 29th, the ALS Association is hosting its annual Walk to Defeat ALS. The proceeds raised from the walk help the local Tennessee ALS Chapter give information, support, and equipment to those facing ALS in our area. The walk also gives us an opportunity to support Eddie and Cerella Hackleton, dear friends and members of Immanuel Church. Eddie, who has been battling ALS for several years, has created Team Eddie–a team that people can join or sponsor for the walk. To support Team Eddie or learn more about the ALS Walk, click here.
When: 9am-12pm on Saturday, September 29th
Where: Victor Ashe Park: 4901 Bradshaw Rd, Knoxville, TN 37912.
