6th Annual Immanuel Church Men’s Cornhole Tournament
Save the date because it’s back! The ultimate annual competition of throwing bean bags has returned for its sixth year! The Men’s Cornhole Tournament will be played on Wednesday, October 2nd at Hardin Valley Academy front parking lot. This is a great event to invite a neighbor or friend to, so invite a friend and get ready to play!
Community Groups
The Christian life is better with others. Just as your fitness goals are better achieved with the support of others, so your spiritual goals are better achieved with the support of other Christians. You were not meant to go it alone.
At Immanuel Church, Community Groups connect you with other believers for the purpose of encouragement and growth in your life and faith. These groups provide a smaller setting where you can go beyond chitchat and really get to know and be known by others.
Groups typically gather weekly to pray, study the Bible, and support one another. These groups meet in area homes and consist of 8-14 people. For more information of all community groups see this week’s Sunday bulletin.
We encourage everyone at Immanuel to participate in a group.

Local Partner: ICYA Campus Outreach
ICYA Campus Outreach
Did you know that there are over 9,000 college students right in our backyard in Hardin Valley? With schools like Pellissippi State Community College, Tennessee Wesleyan University, and Lincoln Memorial University there are many opportunities to serve college students and reach college students for the Gospel. Here are a few ways ICYA (Immanuel Church Young Adults) are impacting these students.
1) Every Monday college students meet in a local home to discuss Scripture, pray together, and help disciple one another. Some of these students are from places as far away as California, while others attend Immanuel. Either way, this group has provided friendship, encouragement, and joy for these students as they continue their education.
2) On Mondays, a few ICYA leaders engage with students at Pellissippi through campus evangelism. They share the Gospel with students, pray with students, and invite students to follow Jesus.
3) Each semester, ICYA hosts events, sponsors lunches, and serves in a variety of ways the students of Pellissippi and Tennessee Wesleyan. These events have included lunches, breakfasts, fall festivals, game days, and engagement fairs. Each event has given ICYA leaders space to share the Gospel, invite others to church, and spread the hope of Jesus to college students.
These are just a few of many things happening in ICYA and on our local campuses. If you are interested in learning more or helping, please contact Zachary Conant by email at zach@iknox.org.
